If I see that international markets are doing nicely throughout US night hours, could I purchase US ETFs that hold international stocks? What do you guys think?
The price of ETFs and mutual funds that hold international stocks will be estimated. The managers will then make necessary corrections the next day. When you initiate a buy or sell order, it will usually be executed the following business day, after the correction has already taken place.
If there was a way to profit from this, people would have already exploited it and the advantage will then dissolve away.

you could… however…
All major financial traders run 24/7 so you’d be in a very competitive space.

You don’t have to ask – just watch the markets and make your own conclusions. If you observe a pattern you can trade – go for it.
